Corbels
|
 |
Corbels are designed to support overhangs on bar tops
or islands and are often necessary for a new stone countertop
installation when they were not required previously.
This is because stone weighs much more than material
it generally replaces (wood, particleboard, etc.) and
additional support is needed to avoid a possible breakage
if the overhanging area is likely to encounter a heavy
weight (large person leaning on it, kids sitting on
it, etc.). We have a selection of corbels in our showroom
and have many additional selections from our supplier.

A Few Additional
Comments on Stainless Steel Sinks
|
 |
Many sinks are advertised as genuine 304 stainless steel
but are not, and consequently they do not have the wear,
appearance and physical characteristics of genuine 304
stainless steel. if a magnet sticks to the sink it is
NOT 304 stainless steel, and even the gauge of the sink
may not be specified properly. "Gauge" simply
refers to the thickness of the sink, and like wire gauge
the lower the number the thicker the sink. So an 18
gauge sink is thicker than a 20 gauge sink, and therefore
quieter and more durable. Most high-quality sinks also
have additional sound-proofing material added to the
outside, so make sure to check out any stainless steel
sink that looks too cheap to be believable. We only
supply genuine 304 stainless steel sinks, with sound-proofing.
